The ‘Fireplace Island’ Costumes Have fun Group, Queer-Owned Manufacturers and Abs

Warning: Spoilers for ‘Fireplace Island’ (and Jane Austen’s ‘Satisfaction and Prejudice’) under.

“In our group, cash is not the one type of forex,” says “Fireplace Island” protagonist Noah (Joel Kim Booster) in a Millennial Elizabeth Bennet-esque narration voiceover. “Race, masculinity, abs… just some of the metrics we use to separate ourselves into higher and decrease courses.”

The Bushwick Brooklynite and his chosen household fall within the latter half of that hierarchy. As they excitedly embark on their annual “sacred” pilgrimage to the homosexual summer time mecca, Noah’s narration continues: “In fact, I do not care about all that shit, however…” He pauses, he and his associates approvingly watch 5 very match males on the ferry ceremoniously take away their shirts. “What can I say? I am a category traitor.”
